Because of the influx of cats we have received at the HSEC, we’ve decided to lower our adoption prices on cats to $80.00!

Your adoption fee includes:

Your new pet, Microchip, Feline Leuk test, flea treatment, grooming, first set of initial vaccinations, a discount at one of our participating vets on your next vet visit and 30 days of free pet insurance.

We are still running our 2 for 1 campaign.  Adopt 1 pet and get a companion for free!

Help us move these pets out of the shelter.  Adopt today!

I want to thank you for all of your hard work in keeping these animals out of harms way. You all are wonderful people for doing this type of work. It is a hard thing to do everyday. I am from Miami and see the same abandoning of animals. I’ve rescued two from my own neighborhood. God bless you.

I just read the article from MSN about your Humane Society, it is a heartbreaking and shocking story that angered me to the core. How could people be so cruel and cold? They absolutely disgust me. I have three cats of my own and can’t imagine living without them, in fact I refuse to do so. You guys do an amazing job but I can’t imagine putting to sleep that many animals. It’s wrong. I live in Maine, and I would love to adopt from you guys just to help. Perhaps in the coming new year I can at least donate. Keep up the good work.

I live in Oklahoma, but would gladly adopt 3-4 cats! We live in a rural setting and are always taking in strays. Although I feed our cats daily, they still assist us by keeping the mice population in check. We have a barn with a pet door to provide our cats shelter during inclement weather, but the freedom to venture outdoors at will. We ALWAYS spay/neuter our pets. Unfortunately, shelters here will only permit adoptions by those who intend the cats to live indoors. God Bless You for all that you do for our furry friends!

I read the article on MSN and was just heartbroken. Your story really hit home. My husband and I volunteer at an animal shelter in our town in Illinois where we see the effects of the economy as well (many animals being dropped off or left in abandoned apartments etc). With philanthropy down due to the economy, it’s hard for shelters to stay afloat. We try to give as much as we can and will be making a donation to your shelter this holiday season.

I know we can’t save all the animals out there, but we can try! Thank you for all you do!
